SMH Group Stadium
Chesterfield spent 139 years at Saltergate before the club moved north up Sheffield Road to Whittington Moor for the 2010/11 season. Building work started on 23 July 2009; the ground was handed over in July 2010, and Derby County came for the opening friendly on 24 July, a fortnight before the first competitive match on 7 August.
The name has changed four times in fourteen years, each time with the sponsor. It opened as the b2net Stadium, became the Proact Stadium in August 2012, held that for eight years, then ran as the Technique Stadium from August 2020. The current name dates from June 2023.
The attendance record belongs not to a cup tie but to a National League fixture: 10,108 against Maidenhead United on 20 April 2024, a 3-2 win in front of a ground that seats 10,292.
Beyond the club, the pitch has taken England youth internationals at under-19 and under-21 level, and in 2018 the FA Women's Premier League Cup final, Blackburn Rovers against Leicester City. Elton John played here in 2012. In 2021 The Rosadocs filmed a video on the pitch.
