SNP Dome

The SNP Dome in Heidelberg is located in the Kirchheim district. The building cost 28 million Euros to construct, and work began in September 2018 before the doors opened on March 25, 2021.

Inside, the atmosphere is defined by the hard court surface—a combination of concrete, parquet, and PVC. The capacity shifts with the sport. For basketball, the floor holds 4,410 people. The MLP Academics Heidelberg make this their primary home in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), while the Rhein-Neckar Löwen handball team in the Handball-Bundesliga (HBL) use it for DHB-Pokal matches and smaller games.

The 2021–22 DHB-Pokal quarterfinal against THW Kiel was won 26–24, and the 2024–25 DHB-Pokal Round of 16 clash with Füchse Berlin ended 30–29. It even hosted the 'Heidelberger Bürgerfest' in March 2022, drawing around 10,000 visitors to the space.
