The ground at Genetaleden opened in November 2005, replacing the old Bårsta pitch, which had lost its licence for top-flight matches.

If you look past the terracing, you can see the artificial turf. It is green and flat, designed to withstand the northern weather better than natural grass.

The attendance record of 8,453 was set on May 31, 2009. This was not an arbitrary figure but the result of a derby between Assyriska FF and Syrianska FC. The stadium is owned by the municipality, a fact that ensures its continued existence even when the fortunes of the tenant clubs fluctuate.
