Solidarnost Samara Arena
For the six matches of the 2018 tournament, FIFA's own regulations took a slice of the bowl out of circulation — delegation seating, media positions, security zones — and the attendance figure topped out at 41,970. That number appears again and again in the record: Uruguay against Russia, Senegal against Colombia, and the last-sixteen tie between Brazil and Mexico. Nobody moved a single row of seats to produce it. When the tournament packed up and the ground passed to Крылья Советов, the reclaimed capacity came back on its own, and 44,918 became the working figure.
Construction ran four years, from 2014 to 2018, on Демократическая улица in the Кировский district. The pitch is hybrid, natural grass stitched through with SISGrass fibres, and it is both heated and irrigated.
The name has moved three times in as many years. It opened as Самара Арена on 6 May 2018. In April 2021 a sponsorship deal with the bank Солидарность made it Солидарность Арена; it has been Солидарность Самара Арена since.
