Soma Mini Stadium
Hart FC calls it home, but the pitch spends as much time hosting schoolboys as professionals — the final of the Tekkifii Inter-schools Football Tourney was settled here, Nyakoi and Tahir taking the honours.
The ground carries the marks of a project that stalled more than once. Work under the Gambia Football Federation's eleven-million-dalasi scheme began years before anyone could call the place finished.
What gives Soma Mini Stadium its one clear claim to national attention came in August 2017, when a Gambia squad preparing for the WAFU Cup of Nations used it for a warm-up match against a scratch side billed as Jarra Soma Best Eleven. The national team won 5-0, unremarkable as a scoreline, but it meant a ground this modest briefly hosted players who would go on to represent the country in a regional final. The Lamin Kinteh memorial tournament that same August, drawing seventeen teams to the same pitch, filled out the rest of that summer's calendar.
More recently the stadium has returned to competitive football on its own terms: Hart FC beat Serrekunda FC 3-0 here in a round-of-16 Gambia Cup tie, evidence that whatever construction delays shaped its early years, the pitch itself stayed in use throughout.
