Sportanlage Rheinau

The ground does not sit in a city centre. It sits next to the Rhine, on the flat strip of land where the river marks the border. Sportanlage Rheinau is a municipal complex, and the main pitch is the one that matters. It is a rectangle of artificial turf, clearly marked out for play, surrounded by low fencing and a path for spectators.

The complex has been here since 1970. The first pitch opened earlier, in the spring of 1967, but the official inauguration took place on September 12–13, 1970, during the first Balzers Community Sports Festival. FC Balvers moved in that year. Before that, they played at Dr. Alban Vogt's pitch. The club has used this ground ever since, winning the Swiss promotion playoff against FC Glattbrugg on June 20, 1976, a match that drew 2,500 spectators. They also hosted two group stage matches of the 2003 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, when Italy beat Liechtenstein 5–1 on July 20, 2003.

The ground is small. The official capacity is 2,000, though the record for a cup match against CSKA Sofia in 1993 was higher, with roughly 8,000 people crammed in. The complex includes a sports hall built in 1971 and natural grass pitches for training. A major renovation project costing 15 million CHF is underway from 2026 to 2036, with the first stage involving the replacement of the artificial turf with an unfilled system.
