Sportpark Aalter
Aalter, Belgium
Sportpark Aalter sits at the edge of a quiet Flemish town. The grandstand received a facelift in 2022, and the new floodlights were finally switched on a few years later, pushing the renovation timeline into 2025. Before that, the main pitch carried a natural surface, but it was swapped for artificial grass during the upheaval.
There is a smaller pitch beside it with natural turf, or when the main strip is unavailable. The club reached the Belgian Cup final in 1980, but the match was played in Brussels at the Heysel Stadium, so the ground itself records no lasting memory of that day.
Capacity is listed at 3,514 by Transfermarkt, while a Dutch Wikipedia entry settles on 3,500. The site has never gone by another name. A reference to 1958 turned out to be a residential block nearby, not the stadium.
The address is Lindestraat 17, in the province of East Flanders.
