Sportpark Bergenshuizen
Vught, Netherlands
There is nothing grand about Sportpark Bergenshuizen . The complex opened in 1991, a year that saw several local clubs relocate from their previous grounds to this new facility. The move was a practical necessity for RKVV Zwaluw VFC and the hockey and cricket club VMH&CC MOP , both of which found a permanent base here.
The ground is not defined by a single pitch. The main area used by the football club features an artificial surface. Other fields within the park remain natural grass, used by local teams.
The park is owned and operated by the municipality of Vught. Over the years, the grounds have been updated, with recent investments focusing on energy generation and general facility improvements following the site's twenty-fifth anniversary.
There is no official sponsor name attached to the park; it has retained the name Sportpark Bergenshuizen since its inception. When RKVV Zwaluw VFC plays in the KNVB Cup, the local crowd gathers to watch, sometimes reaching a thousand people, but mostly it is a place for regular weekend fixtures.
