Sportpark Voordorp sits at the edge of the Tuindorp-Oost district, bounded by the A27 highway to the east and Habib Bourguibastraat to the north. It is a municipal facility, built when the Municipality of Utrecht developed the Voordorpen en Voorveldsepolder area, with the current complex opening in 1991. USV Hercules moved to the site that year; before that, they played elsewhere in Utrecht. The park hosts other clubs, notably Sporting '70 and VV Voorwaarts, but Hercules remains the primary tenant.

The ground is defined by its layout rather than spectacle. It is not a single stadium but a cluster of pitches. The main field, Veld 1, used by Hercules, has a natural grass surface. It is equipped with floodlights, though the lighting is often considered insufficient for high-level broadcasting. The other fields in the complex, such as Veld 6, have artificial turf. The capacity is a matter of record-keeping inconsistency; while local reports and Wikipedia cite 1,000, football databases frequently list 1,800. Europlan-Online offers a compromise figure of 1,500 for Sporting '70's pitch.

The venue is perhaps best known for a single day in November 2023. When USV Hercules were set to face AFC Ajax in the KNVB Cup, the match was moved here from Galgenwaard due to Hercules' own pitch being unplayable. Ajax won 3-2 in front of a crowd that far exceeded the local capacity. The park has no official sponsor name. It stands quietly between the highway and the residential streets, a functional space for amateur football rather than a destination for visitors.
