Sportpark Zuid
Groesbeek is not a town anyone associates with the Dutch football pyramid, and Sportpark Zuid does not try to be anything more than what it is: the ground of a club that has spent decades punching above the size of the place it plays in. De Treffers use the stadium, and the fixture list rarely brings a name a national audience would recognise — which is rather the point. In a country where third-tier grounds tend to blur into one another, this one holds its shape through sheer continuity rather than any single famous night.
The pitch has stayed a natural surface since the ground opened in 1976, and a renovation between 2008 and 2010 brought the facilities up to a standard the original build was never meant to carry on its own. None of that shows up as a landmark stand or a signature corner; Sportpark Zuid works because it has been quietly adequate for the level De Treffers play at, season after season, without needing to be rebuilt around a bigger ambition.
At 4,700 capacity, it is sized for exactly the club it houses — no more, no less — and that scale is really the whole story here: a ground built for a Tweede Divisie side near the German border, close enough to Nijmegen to live in its shadow, and content to stay a local fixture rather than reach for anything grander.
