Sportzentrum Kalsdorf

There is no rival Kalsdorf pitch to point across town to — this is the one ground the community has, and it has done the job since 1960, when the club raised a new stadium here to bring itself up to a proper standard rather than make do with a field.

The Sportzentrum the ground now carries in its name is younger than the pitch itself: the clubhouse dates to 2007, replacing changing rooms that had gone back to the 1950s, but the stadium kept its plain working name through that rebuild rather than taking on anything new.

Nothing about the ground reaches for scale. Three thousand on the natural grass at Johann-Pauker-Gasse is enough for what Kalsdorf bei Graz needs, and the arena has never pretended otherwise.
