St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park
Cattell Road sits close enough to the city centre that the ground opened on 26 December 1906 as St Andrew's. The war left one stand in ruins; it went back up in the 1950s alongside floodlights, and by the time the club marked the stadium's centenary in 2006 the ground had already been through a full sit-down rebuild, running from 1993 to 1999.
The record crowd dates from well before any of that: 66,844 for an FA Cup tie against Everton on 11 February 1939. Current capacity sits at 29,409, with a SISGrass hybrid pitch laid in 2023 replacing the old surface.
The naming history has moved faster than the ground itself in recent years. St Andrew's carried a sponsor's tag as the St Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium between 2018 and 2021, dropped it, and picked up the current Knighthead Park branding in 2024.
