The Tivoli opened with a crowd it never matched again. On 12 February 1972, 18,000 people came to watch R.A.A. Louviéroise beat Sporting de Charleroi 4–1 in the inaugural match. Later counts put the ground at 12,500.

The reshaping came between 2003 and 2005. Every stand was roofed, and steel structures were set into the concrete terracing in the north and east.

Not everything at the Tivoli was football. The venue was laid out for athletics as well, and in July 2011 the Power Festival brought The Real McKenzies, The BellRays, Demented Are Go!, Bob Log III and Castles onto the site. In 1982 it also housed the neighbours: URS du Centre played a season of home matches there while their own ground was being worked on.

RAAL La Louvière moved out to the Easi Arena in June 2025, and the Tivoli was demolished the same year. The pitch had stayed natural grass to the last.
