Stade de la Tuiliere
Lausanne, Switzerland
The Stade de la Tuilière does not look like a stadium you would find in a city of its size. You see the LS logo projected onto the glass façade, a reminder that this belongs to FC Lausanne-Sport, who moved here after leaving their previous home.
Behind the concrete shell, the view opens onto a pitch of artificial grass. This surface is a result of a specific decision made during the construction process when the club's training centre plans stalled; while it can theoretically be converted to natural turf later, the synthetic layer is what players use today.
The ground has already hosted high-profile fixtures since it opened in 2020. It staged the UEFA Youth League semi-finals and final, events that drew significant attention to the new facility. Recent matches have seen the local side compete in both domestic leagues and European youth competitions, utilising the full scope of the venue's capabilities.
