Stade du Mouzaïa

The ground at Mouzaïa has answered to several names, and the town's own paperwork keeps circling back to one of them: Chahid Rebbouh. In the 1984–85 Algerian Cup it appeared simply as Stade Rebbouh; by 2010 the fuller Stade communal Chahid-Rebbouh de Mouzaïa was in use, and five years later it had shortened again to Stade communal Rebbouh.

What that means in practice is that no single side owns the calendar. Ittihad Baladiat Mouzaïa and Jil Moustakbel Mouzaïa both take their home matches here, on an artificial surface rather than grass.

The date the town remembers is 16 January 2015. IBM Mouzaïa were playing SC Aïn Defla in the fifteenth round of the Inter-Régions championship, Centre-West group. Early in the match, a 21-year-old IBM supporter, Farid K., was stabbed by a supporter of the visiting side and died of his injuries. The game was stopped and police detained a suspect.

Beyond that, the record is thin. No opening year has been fixed, no street address published, no official site maintained, and no record attendance logged — the ground was simply there, working, when the cup draw of the mid-1980s found it.
