Stadium
Stade Francis-Le Basser
Formerly: Parc municipal
The pitch at Francis-Le Basser is one of the last in the division still laid in natural grass. On 4 December 1971 it was renamed for Francis Le Basser, mayor of Laval from 1956 to 1971 and, for forty years, president of the club.
Promotion to the top flight in 1978 nearly doubled it, from 11,000 to 20,000, and the record crowd dates from that era: 20,859 for a Ligue 1 meeting with Saint-Étienne on 24 August 1979, lost 3-2. The north stand alone has been rebuilt twice — once in 2001-02 for the shift to all-seating, again in 2012-13 after corrosion forced a full replacement of its structure, and again in 2020-21, when cracked steel supports needed 900,000 euros of repair.
