Stade John Grün

The ground at Route de Remich carries the name of John Grün (1868–1912), a Mondorf man billed in his lifetime as the strongest in the world. The name has held since the first match — no sponsor has ever been attached to it.

Its old pitch sat in the centre of Mondorf-les-Bains and was sold to the commune for development, which left US Mondorf-les-Bains waiting on a replacement built and paid for by that same commune. The wait ran long. The original contractor went bankrupt mid-build, and then Gallo-Roman finds turned up in the ground, which stopped work again while the site was examined. The stadium opened on 17 September 2003, and the first competitive match there, against Echternach, was played the same day.

It staged matches at the UEFA Under-17 championship in 2006, and returned to that circuit in October 2019 for the qualifying round of the 2020 edition: on 27 October Turkey's Under-17s beat Luxembourg 4–1, and three days later, on 30 October, the same Turkish side lost 4–0 to Italy.

The commune still owns and runs it.
