Stade Jos Haupert

The ground carries a name from the club's own past: Jos Haupert, who played for Progrès before serving as deputy mayor of Differdange. He died in 1980, four years after the stadium that bears his name went up on the plot where the old Stade Vélodrome had stood.

Niederkorn's footballers had used that Vélodrome site since 1931, and before 1919 the club played at Stade Im Brill. The 1976 ground was not a rebuild of what came before — the earlier arena was pulled down and a new one raised in its place.

Whatever was built then did not satisfy UEFA for long. In 1977 and again in 1978 Progrès were unable to stage their European ties at home and moved them to Oberkorn or to Differdange. Luxembourg Cup finals have never been played here either; those matches have traditionally gone to other towns.

The stadium's busiest days have not always involved football. In 2004 it hosted the Differdange Letz Rock Festival, with P!nk, Audiosmog and Dick Brave & the Backbeats on the bill; the following year Nena, Söhne Mannheims and Vaya Con Dios played there.

The main pitch is grass. Alongside it sits a second, artificial surface. The club runs no separate site for the ground — everything about it is published through the club's own pages.
