Stade Marcel-Verchère

The stadium sits between rows of apartment blocks. It looks older than it is, though the plastic seats have been replaced several times since the place opened as a rugby ground in 1923.

Fotball Bourg-en-Bresse Péronnas 01 moved into the building in 2015 after promotion to Ligue 2, and the upgrade that followed explains most of what you see today. The old North Stand was torn down and rebuilt closer to the pitch.

The stadium also hosts Union Sportive Bressane, a rugby club that has used the ground since 1917.

The building has hosted a few bigger games over the years. Those nights did not change the place—just the noise. It does not pretend to be anything more than that.
