Stade Oceane
Le Havre, France
Formerly: Grand Stade du Havre, Grand Stade de la CODAH
The ground sits where the Soquence railway yard once was, a quiet industrial site before the redevelopment brought the new arena to Le Havre.
Inside, the light is bright and even, a necessity for the hybrid grass that covers the pitch. The surface is a mix of natural turf and synthetic fibres, a technology chosen to withstand the wear of regular fixtures and international matches alike. On matchdays, the stands fill with supporters, their colours blending into the blue of the seats.
The same venue saw the French national team play Uruguay under the watchful eyes of Didier Deschamps. These events are not just numbers in a ledger; they are moments that pass through the concrete and steel, leaving a trace in the memory of those who were there.
