Stadio Carlo Castellani
Formerly: Stadio Comunale Carlo Castellani, Stadio Comunale
Carlo Castellani played for Empoli before the war and died in the Mauthausen concentration camp; the stadium built on the site of the old Stadio Comunale opened under his name in September 1965.
What it looks like now is the result of adding a piece at a time rather than one rebuild. The 1965 ground was a covered grandstand of about 4,000 seats and little else. The Curva Nord was extended again in 1997.
A full rebuild was drawn up in 2017 and then dropped. Since July 2023 the sponsor Computer Gross has appeared in the official name.
