Stadium
Stadio Comunale Giuseppe Piccolo
Cercola, Italy
The name carries weight here. The stadium is named after Giuseppe Piccolo, and the pitch is where the fight against that violence is played out. Since 2002 the annual Un Calcio alla Droga tournament has been held in his memory. The State Police and Libera run the spectacle.
The stadium does not host international tournaments, nor does it have a history of rebuilding for them. It is a working ground.
The proximity to the city allows for occasional larger gatherings. A public viewing of a Serie A match between Napoli and Cagliari drew a crowd to the grounds, turning the pitch into a community screen.
