Stadio Mirko Fersini

Formello, Italy

The S.S. Lazio Training Center sits in the quiet municipality of Formello. The main stadium here, known as **Stadio Mirko Fersini**, serves a specific purpose: it is the home of the club’s youth and women’s sides. Construction began in 1995, driven by the ambition of then-president Sergio Cragnotti. The stadium itself was officially inaugurated on **April 7, 1997**.

The ground carries a heavy name. It was not called that from the start. In October 2012, the venue was renamed to honour Mirko Fersini, a young player who died in a car accident in April of that same year.

The pitch is natural grass. The stands hold only 3,000 spectators. You can find the Lazio Primavera team here, competing in the UEFA Youth League. They have faced Celtic and Inter Milan within these walls. The Lazio Women’s team also call this address their own, having contested Coppa Italia Femminile fixtures against Roma in 2019.

The location is defined by the address: Via di Santa Cornelia, 1000. It hosts the Derby della Capitale for youth teams and even the finals of the Italian FSSI Championship for deaf athletes in 2026.
