Stadion Birchhölzli

Formerly: Stadion Birchhölzli

The pitch at Birchhölzli tells its own story before anything else does. The artificial turf that opened play in 2006 stayed down for seventeen years, before it was finally torn up and relaid in September 2023, with the running track on the adjoining field rebuilt in the same project. The commune of Düdingen covered the work, priced at around 600,000 Swiss francs — a substantial outlay for a ground that seats only 1,500.

What draws a crowd here tends to be the Schweizer Cup rather than league business. The ground's record attendance came on 14 August 2017, when SC Düdingen hosted FC Münsingen in the first round of thirty-two and went down 5-1 in front of 600 spectators — still the number to beat. More recently, the women's side of the cup brought the venue closer to that mark: on 9 November 2024, 550 turned out to watch a tie against FC St. Gallen 1879.

The stadium currently carries the sponsored name FKB-Stadion Birchhölzli, though it is known locally by its older, plainer name. Floodlights allow evening fixtures, and the ground has never been asked to host anything beyond football — no finals, no concerts.
