Stadion Dragan Džajić

Ub, Serbia

Stadion Dragan Džajić sits in the town of Ub, Serbia. The original structure went up in 1976, but the recent work gave it a new look. The pitch itself is a hybrid surface, natural grass reinforced with synthetic fibres, installed alongside a new drainage system. The floodlights were also upgraded to meet HD broadcast standards.

What distinguishes the ground from other local stadiums is its personal history. It was renamed in 2017 in honour of Dragan Džajić, a footballer born in Ub, and the two main stands carry the names of other former local players, Dušan Savić and Radosav Petrović. Nemanja Matić, another notable player from the town, helped organise the earlier phase of the renovation. The project was funded partly by the UEFA Solidarity Fund, though the total cost has not been made public. The stadium holds 4,000 spectators and serves as the home for FK Jedinstvo Ub, who compete in the Serbian First League.

The ground has hosted top-flight matches and youth internationals, including a Superliga fixture between Crvena zvezda and Jedinstvo Ub, as well as a U17 encounter between Serbia and Slovakia. A Serbian Cup match against FK Partizan drew 3,700 people in November 2023, though the record for the largest crowd has not been found.

There is no indication of any other club using the ground regularly, and it remains the primary football venue in Ub.
