Stadion GOS
What Nadarzyn has on Żółwińska is the ground. Stadion Sportowy w Nadarzynie, Stadion GOS-u w Nadarzynie.
The club came first in a sense, and then again. Predecessors were playing here from 1952; the present GLKS Nadarzyn — Gminny Ludowy Klub Sportowy — dates from 9 June 1997, and it is that club the ground has served since. The pitch is natural grass, and the terracing holds a thousand.
The number that matters is smaller. On 18 September 2010, with GLKS Nadarzyn in the second tier and Stal Rzeszów the visitors, 800 people came through the gates — the largest crowd the ground has recorded. Nadarzyn lost that afternoon, 0:1, the only goal going to the away side. It remains the high-water mark for a stadium whose capacity has been given variously in the years since, and which in ordinary weeks holds a fraction of it.
A ground of this size does not hide much. The stand runs along one side, the trees behind it, and on a quiet Sunday the away end never stopped is a phrase that would carry across the whole enclosure without effort. Nadarzyn sits south-west of Warsaw, close enough that the capital's traffic reaches it and far enough that the football stays local.
