Stadion Ivaylo

The record crowd at Stadion Ivaylo is more than twice what the ground now holds. On 18 September 1969, Etar met Levski Sofia here in front of 40,000 people, and the visitors won 2-0. That was five months after the arena finally got a name: on 24 April 1969 the city council voted to call it after Ivaylo, the first Bulgarian tsar. For its first eleven years it had simply been the City Stadium.

The ground had opened on 24 May 1958, after building work that began in 1953-54. It sits in the western part of Veliko Tarnovo, on the southern side of Filip Totyu Street, across from the Parvi Yuni kindergarten. It belongs to the municipality and is run by the council's sports properties enterprise; there is no separate site for the arena, only a page on the town's own portal.

The rebuild came in 2012, timed to Etar-1924's return to the top division for the 2012-13 season, and aimed at a UEFA licence for European ties. After the prime minister visited in June 2012, 600,000 leva was approved for a new pitch, drainage and irrigation; the council added 120,000 for undersoil heating, taking the total to 720,000. Dressing rooms, the referees' room and the toilets were repaired, the stand roof repainted, and 5,000 seats replaced in the club's purple. The capacity was left as it was.

Etar have played here since the club's founding, through its various forms. The ground has also hosted the Bulgarian Amateur Cup final, in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022.
