Stadion KFC Komarno
Komárno, Slovakia
Formerly: Mestský štadión Komárno, Štadión KFC
The new Štadión KFC Komárno carries the weight of its location in a city where the Danube meets the Váh. The club played their home matches at the Stadion ViOn in Zlaté Moravce during a period when they had to throw everything at it to stay in the Niké liga.
The pitch itself is natural grass, prepared by Engo, s.r.o., with the soil graded for drainage before the new surface was laid. The capacity of the new facility sits at 5,250. This is a far cry from the 13,200 that once crammed into the old terraces.
The team turned to the kids for support during the building phase, and now they look to the new stand for their future results.
