Stadion Lichterfelde
Between 1933 and 1945 it stood as the Adolf-Hitler-Stadion ; after the war the district returned it to Stadion Lichterfelde . The war left damage that took until 1951 to repair. Of the 248,000 marks the rebuild cost, 136,000 came as a donation from the American people, and the ground reopened on 5 May 1951.
Through the 1960s and 1970s the cinder running track gave way to a synthetic surface, the jumping pits were moved, and the standing terraces around the pitch were taken out everywhere but the main stand. Before the 2009 World Athletics Championships a new blue track went down, with the throwing sectors and the grass done at the same time.
FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin are the main occupants now, following their predecessor LFC Berlin; Hertha 03 Zehlendorf also play here, and Tasmania Berlin spent the 2021/22 Regionalliga season on the pitch because their own ground did not meet the requirements. In 2006 Sweden and Brazil trained here before the World Cup, and foreign squads used it again during the 2011 Women's World Cup.
