Stadion Miejski im. Władysława Króla w Łodzi

The current stadium was designed by a consortium of Perbo-Inwestycje and DiG Sowińscy, with Mirbud as the general contractor. The first phase, featuring one stand, opened on August 2, 2015. The stadium was fully completed and officially opened in April 2022. On June 2, 2021, it was renamed in honour of Władysław Król, a legendary ŁKS athlete and coach. Prior to this, it was known as Stadion Miejski w Łodzi or Stadion ŁKS-u. The playing surface is natural grass with heated turf. The pitch dimensions are 105 × 68 m. The current capacity is 18,029 seats; this figure was fixed by the city council to avoid favouring ŁKS over their rivals, Widzew Łódź, despite the structure being designed for over 20,000. The official attendance record for the current stadium is 18,008, set at the opening match against Chrobry Głogów on April 22, 2022. The historical attendance record for the site (old stadium) was 45,000, recorded on August 21, 1971, for a match against Polonia Bytom. Notable events include international friendlies for the Poland national team: vs. Bulgaria on March 23, 1983, and vs. Spain on November 18, 1981. In a unique incident post-2022, the stadium was used by the University of Łódź to demonstrate DNA replication. No major national cup finals or notable international concerts were held at this specific venue.
