Stadion na Plynárně — the ground by the gasworks — still describes the place better than its current listing as Stadion Lokomotiva Praha.

FK Lokomotiva Praha, once known as FK Loko Vltavín, took over the tenancy and brought the newer name with it. There is no record of when exactly the change happened, only that it did.

The pitch itself is natural grass, hemmed in by a capacity of just 3,000, half of that seated.

Even its opening is not settled cleanly — most accounts point to the early 1950s, though not every source agrees to the year — which fits a ground that has spent its life being useful rather than documented.
