Stadion Pečara
The name comes from the district, and it has never been anything else — no sponsor has ever been bolted onto Stadion Pečara. NK Široki Brijeg moved here from the club's earlier pitches, Puringaj and Trn, and has not played its home football anywhere else since.
The ground that supporters recognise today took shape at the turn of the 2000s, when the north and east stands were fitted with seats, a covered south stand went up, and floodlights and a scoreboard were installed. Further work followed in 2016.
On 10 February 2002, Dinamo of Zagreb met Hajduk of Split here in a friendly, and 10,000 people got in.
Pečara has twice staged the second leg of the Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina final. In 2012 Široki Brijeg and Željezničar drew 0-0 and the visitors kept the trophy. In 2019 the hosts beat Sarajevo 1-0 but lost on aggregate. European nights have come through as well, with UEFA Champions League and Europa League qualifying ties against Aberdeen in 2021 and Domžale in 2018, and the under-age sides of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United States met here in a friendly in 2015.
