Stadion Schnabelholz
Volunteers built it. When Altach's club outgrew the old Riedle pitch, honorary officials worked alongside the municipality to put up a ground that opened in June 1990.
The first phase, in 2015, ran to about 3.2 million euros, shared between the State of Vorarlberg, the municipality and the club — floodlights raised to 1,000 lux, undersoil heating laid, the west stand pushed out. New south and north stands followed, and by the summer of 2019 every seat and every standing place sat under a roof. The full modernisation was costed at around eight million euros.
Of the 8,500 places, 4,100 are standing. The record predates all the building work: 8,900 came in on 28 October 2006 to watch SCR Altach beat Rapid Wien 3–1.
Its summers have a second life. Borussia Dortmund have played here against Altach and against Villarreal; West Ham United and Southampton came in 2019, and Liverpool, Bayer Leverkusen, Atalanta and Wolfsburg have all used the pitch for pre-season. Behind the west stand, a three-storey business club for up to 1,000 guests is due to open in 2025. Since March 2023 the Adi Hütter Youth Campus has stood on the site. Concerts do not come — the ground is for football.
