Stadion v Městských sadech
Opava's ground sits inside the Městské sady, the city park that gives it its name. The current stadium opened on the site of the old DSV Troppau ground, the German club that had played there until 1945, and it carried the plain name Městský stadion Opava for decades before Simply Arena appeared on the signage in 2025.
The floodlights, installed in the summer of 2002, made their debut against MŠK Žilina that September. The reconstruction tied to the Stadiony 2003 programme trimmed capacity down from the far larger crowds the ground once held — a record 15,300 once passed through the turnstiles, though nobody can now say against whom or when. Undersoil heating followed in 2018, timed to a promotion that meant Opava no longer had to open its top-flight season away in Brno.
The ground's most recent test came from water rather than opponents. Flooding in September 2024 reached the third row of Stand F and wrecked the changing rooms, damage the Czech Football Association's LFA answered with 1.5 million korunas toward repairs. A partial reopening followed in July 2025, one stand and the clubhouse still out of use.
