Stadion Zlatica
Podgorica has no shortage of small grounds, but Zlatica's is the only one with a demolition story behind it. The old pitch went back to 1958, a fixture of the neighbourhood long before FK Kom made it their home, and when the club finally tore it down in 2015, they were betting on something better rather than losing what they had.
What went up in its place opened on 13 October 2016, built with backing from the Football Association of Montenegro and the city itself, at a cost of 2.5 million euros. That is not small money for a ground that holds 1,200 people, and it tells you the project was about more than replacing a worn-out pitch — it was meant to give Kom a proper base to build from.
The upgrades did not stop with the rebuild. Between 2019 and 2020, floodlights went in under FIFA's Forward programme, the kind of infrastructure grant aimed at exactly this sort of ground: too small for the top flight's showcase venues, too important to the local game to be left in the dark. The pitch itself is natural grass, kept to the same standard as the bigger arenas across town.
Zlatica has never hosted a cup final or a concert, and it is unlikely to. It exists for Kom's own fixtures, on Jadranska street, doing the job a club's home ground is supposed to do without much need to be anything more.
