Stadionul Ilie Oana

The ground is built on a site where the original stadium had been opened in 1937, designed by D. Munteanu, and originally named Stadionul Municipal. The old stadium was demolished in 2010. The new stadium was constructed by All Plan Construction (main contractor) and Alpine Bau (architect), with construction starting in August 2010 and opening on September 25, 2011. The cost was approximately €17 million. It has a capacity of 15,073 (some sources cite 15,500) with all seats covered by a roof. The surface is natural grass, featuring under-soil heating and automatic irrigation. It holds UEFA Category 4 status. The attendance record is 14,000, set during a Liga I match between Petrolul Ploiești and Steaua București on September 21, 2014. The stadium hosts FC Petrolul Ploiești and has been used by Beitar Jerusalem as a temporary home due to security concerns in Israel. Notable events include Romania national team matches (Euro 2016 and World Cup qualifiers) and the inaugural match in 2011 between former Petrolul players and Romanian internationals.
