The ground at Vushtrri carries the name of a man — Ferki Aliu , a local footballer who was killed during the war in Kosovo in 1999.
The stadium is the home of KF Vushtrria . To keep hosting licensed matches, the ground has been rebuilt in pieces over the years to meet the licensing criteria of the Football Federation of Kosovo — the floodlights modernised, the drainage put right beneath the natural grass.
The high point came in 2014 , when Vushtrria won the Kosovo Superleague and the celebrations were held here, on the pitch.
