Stadiumi i Hasanbegut

The name on the database entry and the name on the ground do not match. In Prizren, the main municipal stadium is known as Stadiumi Përparim Thaçi — the arena that KF Liria Prizren and KF A&N Prizren both call home.

The renaming came out of the war. Përparim Thaçi played for Liria and was killed in 1998, at 21, during the Kosovo conflict; the ground took his name at some point afterwards. No fixed date for the change is recorded, which is unusual for a stadium that has otherwise been documented since 1937.

Its position explains a good deal about the place. The stadium sits on the south-western edge of the city centre, on the bank of the Bistrica. The address is Rr. "Jonit Llam" 1/6.

The playing surface is grass, and the ground has been worked on more than once. In 2017 the groundwork was laid for a further rebuild, designed by the studio GM Architecture for Kosovo's Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport — a state commission, which fits a stadium owned by the municipality rather than by a club. There is no official website; there is no separate club-run operation behind it to build one.

Attendance records are another gap. The capacity itself is given differently depending on where you look.
