Stora Valla
The record at Stora Valla was set on 1 September 1963, when 21,065 people came to watch Degerfors IF against IFK Norrköping. Degerfors has never been a large town, and no ground in Sweden has since asked so much of one.
The stands were the work of engineer Yngve Hellgren, commissioned by Ragnar Hjort of the local ironworks and built by David Jonsson. The ground opened on 24 July 1938 under the name Degerfors Idrottsplats, and carried it until 1950. It has never taken a sponsor's name.
The 2006 renovation lifted out the running tracks and put seats on the main stand. From 2021 the municipality committed 51 million kronor to meet Allsvenskan licensing requirements, lighting masts included. A new north stand, budgeted at 15 million kronor and intended to seat 3,000 under cover, cut the ground to between 2,000 and 3,000 places through the first half of the 2024 season.
On 22 October 2024 the Superettan playoff against Örebro SK sold out at 5,616. The club has used the ground since the day it opened.
