The arena stands on Mühlweg, on the valley floor of Sankt Michael im Lungau, a market community in the Tamsweg district of Salzburg — and it belongs to the valley more than to any one club.
The opening was spread across a weekend in September 2023. A party was held on the 15th, and the formal opening followed on 17 September 2023.
What the arena does not have is the thing most grounds are defined by: a resident football club whose fixture list fills it. No permanent tenant is recorded here. The team most closely tied to the place is not a football side at all — the basketball club USK Samson Druck St. Michael carries the town's name.
Capacity is set at 5,138.
