Sundby Idrætspark
Sundby Idrætspark stands on Amager, in the district of Amager Vest, and it opened on 10 September 1922 with a match between BK Fremad Amager and B 1908. Locals called it Bananerne ved Englandsvej, the bananas by Englandsvej, long before the municipality settled on Amager Sportspark and then, from 1 April 1925, on Sundby Idrætspark. The main structures took another two years to finish after the opening whistle.
The ground has stayed municipal property throughout, without a sponsor's name ever attached to it. The pitch itself was relaid in 2024, when Italgreen fitted a new artificial surface.
Today the stadium serves Danish 2nd Division football. Sundby Idrætspark remains, in essence, what it was built as: a Copenhagen council sports ground, still doing that job a hundred years on.
