This reduction came from the 1998 redevelopment that built the stand, which also created a hill that can hold fans when the stadium falls silent. The record attendance was set in the late 1990s, long before the club reached the Australia Cup final in 2022. That final was moved to CommBank Stadium because they could not fit the crowd here, but the semi-final victory over Brisbane Roar happened within these walls.
