Štadión Humenné

Formerly: Chemlon Stadium, Futbalový štadión mesta Humenné

What stands out about Štadión Humenné is how much smaller it has become. The ground was built in 1974 and known for years as the Chemlon Stadium, named after the local chemical works that backed the football club here. In that era it held ten thousand people. Between 2015 and 2018 the city demolished the old stadium and rebuilt it from the ground up, working through the Slovak Football Association's infrastructure reform programme. The association supplied the new stands as a non-financial contribution worth around €750,000, while the city of Humenné paid for the main construction work.

What reopened seats 1,806 — a fraction of the old ground's capacity. The natural grass pitch is the one thing that carried over from before the rebuild. The stadium is now known simply as Štadión Humenné.
