Tamme Stadium

Arnold Matteus drew up the design for Tamme Stadium in 1928, and the ground he gave Tartu opened four years later, in 1932. The stand went up separately, finished in 1936.

The venue serves as the home ground for JK Tammeka and doubles as a track-and-field facility. A reconstruction carried out in 2007 and 2008 brought the surface up to FIFA standard, with a transitional turf laid over the old pitch. A separate artificial pitch was added on the grounds for training, sitting apart from the main grass surface where matches are played.
