The ground opened not with a match but with a concert: George Michael played the new bowl in Wrocław's Pilczyce district on 1 September 2011, and the first sport it held, nine days later, was boxing — Vitali Klitschko against Tomasz Adamek.
It was built for UEFA Euro 2012 and took three Group A ties, including Poland against the Czech Republic. For that tournament 1,543 seats with obstructed views went unsold.
Śląsk still play here, sharing the ground with the Panthers Wrocław of American football.
The name changed in November 2021, when Tarczyński S.A. took the title rights under a deal now running to 2034. Two years earlier, Oleksandr Usyk fought Daniel Dubois on the same grass.
