Tatabányai Multifunkcionális Sportcsarnok

The Tatabányai Multifunkcionális Sportcsarnok does not stand as a monument to the past; it is a structure defined by its immediate future. It opened on January 12, 2022, following a handover ceremony, effectively replacing older facilities in the city. The playing surface inside is hardwood parquet, standard for the indoor court sports that will fill the space. While the capacity is settled at 6,200 seats, the initial plans for 6,058 were adjusted during the build, and the final number reflects a flexibility designed for different types of events.

Its primary tenant is MOL Tatabánya KC, a professional handball club that has won multiple Hungarian championships. The club moved into the new hall after its first match there against Telekom Veszprém in February 2022. The arena has also hosted Davis Cup matches, including a tie against France in 2023, extending its use beyond local handball. The highest confirmed attendance found is 5,550 for the 2024–25 Magyar Kupa final, a figure that fills the stands but does not suggest a permanent record. The venue sits near the older Földi Imre Sportcsarnok, built in 1976, but the new building is distinct in its scale and modernity. The address is listed as Olimpikon utca 3, though the club's own website points to a different location on Szent Borbála út.
