Formerly: Masaryk State Stadium, Stadium of the Czechoslovak People's Army
Sparta Praha Women train on one of eight fields here, on a strip of natural grass marked as pitch number one.
It began as the Masaryk State Stadium before becoming the Stadium of the Czechoslovak People's Army. The wooden structure that opened it in 1926 was replaced by concrete in the early 1930s, giving the arena its current formidable appearance.
There is little room for spectacle here. Matches played here, like the 2002 Czech Cup Final, were attended by thousands rather than hundreds of thousands, but the setting still commands attention.
