Tengiz Burjanadze Stadium

The most striking feature at the Tengiz Burjanadze Stadium is the view. The sea of blue plastic seats fills the terraces, leading the eye towards the field. The venue underwent a significant transformation in 2017. While the groundskeepers maintain the natural grass with care, the capacity was trimmed from its earlier days of nearly 8,000 people down to 5,000 all-seated. This reduction accompanies the shift from standing terraces to individual seats, a necessary adjustment for UEFA Category 2 standards. The renovation was undertaken in preparation for the European Under-19 Championship. During those matches, the crowd gathered in their thousands; the record attendance of 4,156 was set for a group game against Portugal. FC Dila Gori have called this place home since 1949. The club has played through different eras, changing its name from Dinamo Gori to Pishchevik Gori before settling on its current identity. They play on the same patch of ground that has seen many seasons pass. The stadium sits at 5 Guramishvili Street, a location that anchors the district. It is not a massive arena, but it holds its own.
