The Capital Arena stands as a new landmark in Ilagan, the capital of Isabela province. It is the largest indoor arena in Region 2. The venue holds 10,000 seats and opened to the public in November 2024 after a construction budget of ₱750 million. The local government owns and built the facility, with day-to-day operations run by the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office.

What has drawn attention so far is not its architecture but its schedule. The MPBL Season 7 Opening Night on March 8, 2025, brought a capacity crowd as the Ilagan Cowboys defeated the Sarangani Marlins 74-54. The arena has also staged Premier Volleyball League (PVL) matches and a PBA preseason fixture in September 2025, when the Meralco Bolts beat the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. Plans are underway for East Asia Super League (EASL) matches featuring the Bolts during the 2025–26 season, alongside legs of The Asian Tournament scheduled for August and December 2025.

There is no detailed attendance record published beyond the opening night, when every seat was filled. The arena sits on land allocated by the city government.
