Tigne Sports Complex

Formerly: MIDI Sliema Wanderers Sports Complex, MIDI Tigne Complex

The pitch sits inside a shopping and residential development on the Tigné peninsula. Tigné Sports Complex was built by the developer Fornaci Grigolin in partnership with MIDI plc and Sliema Wanderers FC, as part of the wider Tigné Point scheme. The retail centre opened first, in 2010; the sports complex followed in February 2011, the football pitch, hall and changing rooms together costed at 45 million euro.

For its first years the ground was known as the MIDI Sliema Wanderers Sports Complex, or the MIDI Tigné Complex — a title that carried both the builder and the tenant, and one that was still in use as late as 2017 and 2018 before the shorter Tigné Sports Complex took over.

The surface is artificial turf, a 3G pitch. Sliema Wanderers play here, but the complex also absorbs the club's annual general meetings, its children's football festivals and its training. Large concerts and mass entertainment events have not been staged here.

Capacity has stayed at 1,000 since the doors opened, and work on the stands has not moved that figure. Nor will the next round: plans announced in 2026 add a gym and padel courts to the complex without touching the existing terracing.

There is no street number to give. The ground is located by the development itself — TignéPoint, off Piazza Tigné — or by the geolocation code WG46+X4F.
